But we love the game, and we appreciate it's had millions of players, and now we are getting one more chance to make it the greatness we imagined. We are clearing the bug forums because we've fixed many of the worst glitches, hitches, and cheats we've seen reported with a big refactor of major systems. WE'VE GOT: New Maps New Heroes New Mechanics New Ranks New Modes High Quality graphics mode We are streamlining the way we do Hero upgrades, so you will be reimbursed for your old upgrades to buy what you want in the new system. Animation and camera control that make you feel like a space marine.super human. Have it all: jetpacks, armor, hammers, swords, guns, bombs, in melee, ranged, and aerial combat. Tanks smashing with hammers, deadly Scouts slashing their enemies down the middle with their katana, different jetpacks for every class create dynamic aerial combat, Gunners sniping from across the map, and Tech healing and dueling while laying down turrets. All class specific jetpacks allow you to hop and bound across the map gaining momentum and speed. Your teams combined skill and coordination determine the winner of this tournament. Choose to fight as one of a growing cast of classes battling in 10-20 minute matches. It is a free-to-play browser game in open beta. Please try it out, it is not like other shooters. We will be working towards a downloadable client as we expand the game.

Key Beta Features. 8 classes: Gunner, Tank, Tech, Scout, Blazer, Blaster, Shocker, Assassin. Class skins include simple texture swaps as well as full model changes. Each class has 2 weapons, 2 abilities, 1 bomb type-all unique. Curved gravity ('Mario Galaxy style') in maps - e.g.

Stand on the ceiling and shoot someone on the floor. Ranks up to General. Hop with jetpack thrusts to bound across maps or Slide to take advantage of forward momentum. Target-locking enables aerial combat and fast game play. Respawn system regroups fallen teammates and balance matches.

Other features Game Play Two teams, Blue and Gold, compete to win matches. XP and Z Cash (the in-game currency) are given as rewards for players who complete matches.

If your team wins you get more than if you lose. Players can start or quit a match at any time, but need to be present to the end in order to get rewards. Rewards are not given for individual kills. The majority of perspective is from the 3rd person over the shoulder point of view. Cameras move in during melee combat or switch to scoped FPS view as the needed to add fluid realism to game play.

Design Principles Just as Free Range Games has a philosophy for making games, we also have principles to guide the design of FreeFall Tournament. I will try to get contacted with Y8 then, since I'd really LOVE to see this.

But, I think the game would have to change - for example more detailed graphics, more maps, tutorial and some other tweaks, if it's supposed to atleast stand as a shooter on Steam. With that, Steam Wallet paying should be in the game, maybe some code reworks to adapt to non-web client app. But a good studio should be able to do that within a month or so, not sure what is their standing, since I don't play browser games. Also there is the ranking system that needs a tweak, and matchmaking to be done. AND, Y8 would have to pay 100 dollar fee for Steam registration of a game (I don't know how it's with greenlight, but since the owner of the greenlight profile is not Y8-guy at-least-i-think, and policy restricts him from account trade, the prize must be payed). Doesn't sound bright for this game being on Steam.
